The EliMiNaTe Project |
With The Eliminate Project, Circle K International and UNICEF have joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. Neonatal tetanus kills one baby every nine minutes—nearly 60,000 newborn children every year. A significant number of women also die due to maternal tetanus. The effects of the disease are excruciating—tiny newborns suffer repeated, painful convulsions and extreme sensitivity to light and touch. To eliminate MNT from the Earth, 129 million mothers and their future babies must be immunized.

One Spark: The Campaign for Jean Dean Reading is Fundamental |
Through the Jean Dean RIF Program, Circle Kers have the chance to read to underprivledged children and, through that, give many of those same children their first book. Yet, that overwhelmingly rewarding experience is only half of Circle K’s committment to the RIF Program. The 2011 Alabama District Circle K Board adopted a renewed pledge in-light Government Budget Cuts to raise $50,000 over five years to help keep puttting books in the hands of children.
